Resultant Research®, is conducting the international research study on behalf of St. Jude Medical, Inc. St. Jude Medical, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the development, manufacture, and distribution of cardiovascular medical devices for the global cardiac rhythm management, cardiac surgery, cardiology, and atrial fibrillation therapy areas and implantable neuromodulation devices.

The company operates in five segments: Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM), Neuromodulation (Neuro), Cardiac Surgery (CS), Cardiology (CD), and Atrial Fibrillation (AF). Its CRM segment products include bradycardia pacemaker systems and tachycardia implantable cardioverter defibrillator systems. It has a development and collaboration agreement with GE Healthcare for the development of cardiovascular ultrasound imaging system; and a collaboration agreement with International Business Machines Corporation to produce St. Jude Medical Merlin Patient Care System. St. Jude Medical was founded in 1976 and is headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota.
