Good work Alyssa. Tony Danza must be proud.

Amid the hoopla of Miley twerking at the VMA’s, Scarlett Johansson getting engaged (again), and Angelina Jolie winning an honorary Oscar for humanitarian work, some pretty serious business is going on in our world.

What’s happening in Syria makes me damn frightened — and it should you too.

Without poking my nose too much into politics, what I will say is that too many Millennials are unaware of this escalating tinderbox.

Fortunately, Alyssa Milano realized this too.

If you’ve missed her video on Funny or Die, you should probably check it out.

Screen Shot 2013-09-06 at 9.51.14 AMThe vivacious Milano sets us up for what appears to be a homage to the hotel romps of Paris Hilton. Yet, what at first seems scandalous, quickly proves smart.

Milano uses her sexual prowess to lure greedy viewers in quite brilliantly. Just before an onscreen extravaganza that would rouse a blush from Larry Flynt, the camera jolts off center and lands on a television screen where a newscaster is detailing the events surrounding Syria.

Now, that’s what I call getting an important message to your target audience.

Milano’s sharp use of sex appeal, unlike Miley Cyrus’ ridiculous attempt at sex appeal, for “look at me” sake, is staggering. Alyssa Milano, I applaud you for caring enough to find a way to make deaf ears listen.

And hopefully, they will do just that.
